A fine Wave Crest hinged tobacco humidor jar decorated by C.F. Monroe, circa 1892. The piece features hand-painted pink and purple flowers with “Tobacco” across the front, complemented by original brass mounts.
While C.F. Monroe provided the decoration, the glass was produced by noted makers of the period, including Pairpoint, Mt. Washington, and Rodefer Glass Co. Measuring 5 inches tall by 3.5" in diameter, it remains in excellent condition.
A rare and elegant example of late 19th-century decorative art, ideal for both display and serious collection.
